Click the "Insert" tab, click "Bar" from the Charts group, and then select any of the chart types from the drop-down menu's first column. Excel automatically creates a chart with your word variables along the left and data plotted within the chart itself.

Select Range to Create a Graph from Workbook Data Your cell range will now be highlighted in gray. Once the text is highlighted you can select a graph (which Excel refers to as chart). Click the Insert tab and click Recommended Charts on the toolbar. Then click the type of graph you wish to use.

You would like to plot these values, but an Excel chart cannot create a sensible chart from such a range. You need to consolidate the text values and calculate the occurrences of each value, using a set of COUNTIF formulas, or a pivot table.

To change the text font for any chart element, such as a title or axis, rightclick the element, and then click Font. When the Font box appears make the changes you want. Here's an examplesuppose you want to change the font size of the chart title.

In the worksheet, click the cell that contains the title or data label text that you want to change. Edit the existing contents, or type the new text or value, and then press ENTER. The changes you made automatically appear on the chart.
