Check Required Field Resolution For Free

The "Resolution" field is an important feature in Jira. It specifies the reason an issue is closed and removes the need of having multiple statuses with the purpose of stating why the issue is closed, thus capturing important data for your team while reducing the time you have to manage your workflow.

To get the Resolution IDs, go to Jira Settings / Admin > Issues > Resolutions, press Edit next to a resolution and the ID is the numeric code after "? id=" in the title. You'll need the Resolution Screen set within these transitions to see a list of resolutions with those excluded.

Edit workflow of concerned project and issue types.click on transition and then validator.select the permission validator and select the permission from drop down list.set the permission for the same with current assignee and reporter(manager) then only assignee and reporter(manager) can execute the transition.

Whereas, Component/s field is required to mark the Bugs / Suggestions / Concerns / New Features. Attached are the snapshots.

To make a field mandatory when used through Jira's user interface, click the Required link associated with that field. The text Required appears next to the field's name. Hidden fields cannot be set as required. To make a field optional, click the Optional link associated with that field.

To edit a field, click the Edit icon of the field from the custom field list. In the Add Field/ Edit Field overlay, you can check the Make this field as required checkbox to make the field mandatory. A pop up appears to confirm this.
