A combo chart is a combination of two column charts, two line graphs, or a column chart and a line graph. You can make a combo chart with a single dataset or with two datasets that share a common string field. Combo charts can answer questions about your data, such as: What are the trends for the same categories?

Place multiple charts on a chart sheet in Excel Click. an empty cell, and press F11. Change. the default chart name to Two Chart Sheet. Select. the first chart you want to move to the chart sheet, and go to Chart Select. As Object In, and choose Two Chart Sheet from the drop-down list. Click. OK. Repeat.

Use Excel's chart wizard to make a combo chart that combines two chart types, each with its own data set. Select the two sets of data you want to use to create the graph. Choose the "Insert" tab, and then select "Recommended Charts" in the Charts group.

Combining different chart types and adding a secondary axis Select the data you would like to use for your chart. Go to the Insert tab and click Recommended Charts. Click the All Charts tab and select the Combo category.Check the Secondary Axis box for the Total Transactions and click OK.

Hold down the "Ctrl" key and click the second chart, so that both charts are selected at the same time. Click the "Page Layout" tab and then click the "Group" button in the Arrange area of the ribbon. A large box will surround both charts at once.

If you want to merge data from two graphs, rather than create a new graph from scratch, you can superimpose the two using a simple 'copy and paste' operation.

Excel does not provide an option to format multiple charts simultaneously. For example if you want to add data labels you have to manually select each chart and then add data labels. This can get really inconvenient if you have say 10 or more charts requiring similar formatting.
