If you need 10 copies of an 8-page booklet, choosing to print collated will give you the 10 copies with the 8 pages already in order and ready to go. Alternately, printing uncollated would mean the opposite. Printing this same document uncollated will print the first page 10 times, the second page 10 times, and so on.

When printing multiple copies of a document, collated printing produces sets of complete documents, where each copy includes all pages in order. On the other hand, uncollated printing generates sets of pages separately, meaning each copy includes one set of each page before moving on to the next set.

People want copies collated when they're handing out complete ?packets? of information to people. For example, when you need to give each student one copy of each flyer. They need them uncollated if different copies will be handed out to different people.

Collating arranges printed documents in a specific order, assembling each set of pages in the correct sequence, rather than printing each page in a stack. Essentially, it prints multiple copies of documents in their sequential order, rather than mass printing page by page.

If something is uncollated, it means it's compiled randomly or in an unspecified order. In printing terms, uncollated means your piece has more than one page and those pages are printed separately.

Collate means to collect and assemble printed sheets of paper within a predetermined order or sequence. Typically, all the pages in the document will print once. Once complete, the machine will repeat the process by printing a second set. This continues until the requested number of document sets is complete.

Without collating, the printer will print the first page 10 times, then the second page 10 times, etcetera, until you have 20 stacks of 10 pages to arrange in the correct order. With collating, the printer prints Copy 1 in order from pages 1 to 20, then Copy 2 from pages 1 to 20.

The Collate check box determines the order in which multiple copies of multiple paged documents will print. When the Collate check box is checked, each copy of a document will fully print before the next copy is started (ex: Page 1, Page 2, Page 3, Page 1, Page 2, Page 3).

You can use the Replace function in Word for this. Ctrl+H gives you replace. Click on the More button. Under Special at the bottom of the expanded dialog you will find "Section Break." Click on that.Press Replace All.

Double-click the page break so that it's selected, and then press Delete.
