This Personality Inventory for DSM-5 (PID-5)?Adult is a 220 item self-rated personality trait assessment scale for adults age 18 and older. The measure is completed by the individual prior to a visit with the clinician. Each item asks the individual to rate how well the item describes him or her generally.

The Personality Inventory for the DSM-5 (PID-5) is an established tool for assessing personality disorder (PD) traits that was developed based on section III of the DSM-5. It is composed of 220 items, organized into 25 facets, which are distributed among five domains.

The PID-5-SF assesses five broad domains of personality traits, each representing distinct patterns of behaviour, emotions, and interpersonal functioning: Negative Affectivity: This domain reflects the tendency to experience a range of negative emotions, such as anxiety, sadness, and irritability.
