Construct License For Free

Construct 3 is a 2D game engine that can be used to design and create your own games, such as puzzles, platformers, role-playing games (RPGs), shooters, racing games, or even storybooks. Construct 3 also includes the Box2D physics engine for creating physics-based games.

Licenses can be purchased from Scirra.com or from Steam. Both the Standard and Business licenses remove all the above free edition limitations.

Scirra offers a free license version of Construct 3, as well as a paid subscription with a lot more features included, though the functionality doesn't change.

Construct 2 is a web-based 2D game creation tool that doesn't require knowledge of programming languages.

Construct 2 is now fully retired. These downloads will continue to be available but no bug fixes or support will be offered on them. We strongly recommend upgrading to Construct 3 if you have not yet already.

Although it's no longer supported, I think Construct 2 is still okay. It has strengths and weaknesses, just like any other engine, and it particularly excels at prototypes, game jam games, and small arcadey things.
