You can switch it off by going to Edit - Prefs. - Forms, and tick off "Showborder hover color for fields".

To hide a field on a form:In Design view, open the Property Sheet.Change the Visible property setting to No, as seen below. Visible Property Setting.Switch to Form view to verify that the field is hidden.

In Browse mode, right-click the table column heading, and choose Table View > Modify, or click Modify in the status toolbar. Clear checkboxes for the fields you want to hide in Table View. next to a field to reorder fields in the list and in Table View.

Right-click any column header, and then click Unhide Fields on the shortcut menu. In the Unhide Columns dialog box, select the check box next to each column that you want to show, and then click Close.

Click in the column you want to hide. Open the Format menu and choose Hide Columns. The column is hidden from view. To redisplay the hidden column, open the Format menu and choose Unhide Columns.
