You can rearrange the pages in a page layout document to appear in any order. Note: You can't rearrange the pages in a word-processing document (because text flows from one page to another), but you can copy and paste content from one page to another. in the toolbar, then choose Page Thumbnails.

Word doesn't offer an easy, built-in option to easily rearrange pages if you don't use headings. The only way to do it is to cut and paste the text and manually rearrange it instead.Using your mouse or trackpad, drag your cursor down to select the text you want to move. You'll need to cut the selected text next.

Put your cursor where you want one page to end and the next to begin. Go to Insert > Page Break.

Open the Organize Pages tool from the top menu or the right pane (Tools > Organize Pages) Select one or more page thumbnails (page numbers are underneath). Use Shift to select a page range. Do one of the following: Drag and drop pages to reorder PDF pages how you want. Save your file.

With the entire document selected, switch to the Layout tab on the ribbon by clicking or tapping on its name. Locate the Page Setup section on the left side of the ribbon and click or tap the Orientation button. From the drop-down menu that opens, choose Landscape or Portrait to apply your desired page orientation.

Tip: To rearrange more than one page, press the Command key as you click the page thumbnails you want to rearrange, then release the Command key. Control-click one of the selected page thumbnails, then choose Cut. Control-click the page thumbnail you want the content to follow, then choose Paste.

Open Word and the document to reorder. Scroll to the page you want to move. Hold down the left mouse button and drag down to the right to select a whole page. Release the mouse and the page is highlighted.
