Copy Required Field Resolution For Free

Welcome to Atlassian Community! The resolution field is a special one, and you can only edit it if you add it to a screen, change it as part of a post function, or set it using an automation.

To make a field mandatory when used through Jira's user interface, click the Required link associated with that field. The text Required appears next to the field's name. Hidden fields cannot be set as required. To make a field optional, click the Optional link associated with that field.

Resolution Field It has an initial value of 'Unresolved', which means the field is NULL in the database. It is ALWAYS required when it appears on the screen. ONLY display it on the screen during a transition to the status where you want it set. Once it is set the issue ID will appear with as strikethrough.

2) Go to your profile and click on "Tasks". Once there you should be able to filter for "Complete" or "Incomplete". This again will demonstrate that tasks that are checked are considered "Complete". I had to edit the page and then check-off the task and re-publish the page to get my task under completed.

Resolution Locate your Workflow: > Issues > Workflows. Click Edit under Actions for your workflow. Select your "Done" transition, and Click POST Functions. Click 'Add POST Function > Select 'Update Issue Field' Select Resolution for Issue Field and the appropriate Field Value.

As a Jira administrator, you can manage or customize default issue statuses, resolutions, and priorities....Add, edit, and delete a resolution Select > Issues. Under ISSUE ATTRIBUTES, select Resolutions. Fill in the form below the existing resolutions. You can edit the name and description at any time. Click Add.
