Copy Title Release For Free

A Certified Copy of Texas Title replaces the original Texas Certificate of Title and any previously issued Certified Copy of Texas Title. The applicant (person signing this application) must be the owner or lienholder on the department's motor vehicle record, or an authorized agent of the owner/lienholder.

To remove a lien recorded on a paper title, you will need: the vehicle title. a release of lien letter and/or other notifications from the lienholder(s) currently named on the vehicle title. a completed Application for Texas Title and/or Registration (Form 130-U)

Mailed applications may take up to 10 business days to process plus mailing time. Original documentation submitted with the application will be returned to the person/entity receiving the title.

Your replacement title will arrive through the mail within 20 business days.

If you lose your vehicle's title, you can order a duplicate vehicle title by mail or in person at your local CT DMV. You will need the following documentation and items to complete the request of a duplicate CT vehicle title: Complete an Online Request for Duplicate Certificate of Title Application (Form H-6B).

The processing time for a title can take approximately 30 days or longer to be completed after the date of the vehicle registration. Access the appropriate documentation and forms necessary to request a duplicate title. Forms can be completed by the owner and mailed to DMV.

You can apply for a duplicate title in Connecticut if you've lost yours or had it stolen, or if it was damaged to the point that it is illegible. The state provides two ways to get a duplicate title ? you can apply by mail, or you can go to the DMV office in person. Both work equally well.
