Watermarks are in the graphics layer and usually attached to the header/footer. It is not possible to copy both the main text and the watermark in the same process. You can only copy one layer at a time.

You take time and care over your photos, so the ideal watermark should be minimal so as not to take any quality or focus away from the image.

Be small and monochromatic ? or have very little color. Large, colored watermarks, detract from the image as they can compete with the subject too much. Be placed in a descreet area of the image that does not interfere with the view of the image, but will make it more difficult to remove or clone out. Have limited text.
