To create a license, refer to a copy of the license from the vendor (licensor) and encode its terms into License Manager using the following steps: Expand Licenses and click Create a License. Select a License Type from the drop-down list. Click Continue.

If you are logged into your account, you can change this by clicking on the 'Edit Video' button underneath your video and then clicking on the 'Advanced' tab. Click on the dropdown box 'License and rights ownership' and select the 'Creative Commons Attribution' option. This will then mark your content as CC BY.

Creative Commons licenses are made up of four conditions that can be mixed and matched to create six different license combinations. The licenses also come in three formats: human-readable, lawyer-readable, and machine-readable.

CC offers its licenses, code, and tools to the public free of charge, without obligation.

Each CC license is made up of one or more of four license elements: Attribution (BY), Share Alike (SA), NonComercial (NC) and No Derivatives (ND).

Any content licensed under Creative Commons can be used by others without compensating you for the use. However, Creative Commons licenses are non-exclusive, so you can still license the same content under a different agreement if you choose.

Creative Commons is an organization which develops a variety of public copyright licenses, and the "noncommercial" licenses are a subset of these. Unlike the CC0, CC BY, and CC BY-SA licenses, the CC BY-NC license is considered non-free.
