Remove a manual page break Go to Home and select Show/Hide . This displays page breaks while you're working on your document. Double-click the page break to select it and then press Delete.

To remove a page break you added in manually, click the Home tab. Click Show/Hide ¶ to display the page breaks in your document. Find the manual page break you want to remove and double click the page break to highlight it. Finally, hit the Delete or Backspace key to remove it.

Of this type there are four kinds: next page section breaks, continuous section breaks, even page section breaks, and odd page section breaks.

Continuous Section break starts the new section on the same page. This type of section break is often used to change the number of columns without starting a new page. Even Page Section break starts a new section on the next even-numbered page. Odd Page Section break starts a new section on the next odd-numbered page.

How to remove a section break in Word Select the Home tab if it isn't already selected for the document. Select Show/Hide ¶ to show the section breaks in your document. Click the area just before the section break you want to remove, then hit the Delete key.
