In normal view, they appear as dashed horizontal and vertical lines; in page layout view, they appear as empty spaces between the pages. You can adjust where automatic page breaks occur and add your own page breaks manually. You can also remove manual page breaks, but you cannot remove automatic page breaks.

Go to Home, and select Show all nonprinting characters. Select the section break and then press Delete.

Microsoft Excel inserts automatic page breaks based on the paper size, margin settings, scale options, and the positions of any manual page breaks that you insert. To print a worksheet with the exact number of pages that you want, you can adjust the page breaks in the worksheet before you print it.
