Delete Footnote Affidavit For Free

First, you should check the obvious formatting-related issues. Are some of your footnotes formatted as Hidden text? If they are and you have Word configured to not print Hidden text, the footnotes will not be visible in Print Preview. You'll also want to check to make sure that Track Changes isn't turned on.

With the pointer, press the arrow to the right of the box that says ?All Endnotes.? Several choices will appear. Select ?Endnote Continuation Separator.? A line running the width of the page will appear. Highlight the line. Delete the line.

In short, the fix for you is NOT to delete the empty paragraph itself, instead you should delete the paragraph marker which ends the paragraph ABOVE that paragraph. Remove a footnote If you want to delete the footnote (that's at the bottom of the page), delete the number ?1? in the body. When you do that, the footnote itself disappears.
