To delete a text message with Android's default messaging service, open the Messages app. Then tap and hold the message you want to delete. Then hit the delete button. Alternatively, you can delete multiple messages at the same time by selecting them and removing them all at once.

The keyboard key used to delete the text character at, or to the right of, the screen cursor. Pressing Delete (DEL) also deletes the currently highlighted text, image or group of images. The Delete key removes characters to the right of the cursor, whereas the Backspace key deletes to the left. See Backspace key.

With the DELETE key. Press DELETE - to delete the character to the right of the cursor. Select your text and press DELETE. Press CTRL-DELETE- to delete one word to the right of the cursor. Press SHIFT-END- DELETE - to delete all text from the insertion point (where the cursor is) to the end of the line.

Open Messages. Locate the conversation that has the message you want to delete then tap on it. Touch and hold the message you want to delete. Tap the trash can to delete the message.

Open the document. Move the mouse cursor to the margin, left of the line of text you want to delete. The cursor should look like an arrow slanted to the right. Press the left mouse button to highlight the entire line of text. Press the Backspace key or Delete key to delete the line of text.

Delete individual text messages Tap the conversation. Touch and hold the message you want to delete. Optional: To delete multiple messages, touch and hold the first message, then tap more messages. Tap Delete to confirm.

Hold down the Ctrl key and click anywhere in the sentence you want to delete and finally press either the Backspace or the Delete key. Hold down the Alt key, click and hold the mouse button, and drag over the column you want to delete and finally press either the Backspace key or the Delete key.
