New domestic undergraduate students must pay a non-refundable acceptance deposit of $500.00. Deposits will be credited toward assessed tuition fees.

To apply to UBC as a transfer student, you are strongly encouraged to have 24 transferable credits completed by May ? with at least a C average (60% where 50% is a passing grade), or a grade point of 2.0. Tuition refunds will be based on the following scale for Fall and Spring semesters: up to the end of the second week of the semester: 100% refund. after the second week of the semester: no refund?full fees assessed and payable. Refunds for other academic sessions will be pro-rated based on the length of the session.

Paying your acceptance deposit To pay with your credit card online, log into your Student Service Centre (SSC) and select ?Credit Card? in ?Pay Fees? under Finances. Successful payments will be processed immediately.

Select Yes, I accept this offer and follow the steps to pay your deposit: $500 for Canadian citizens and permanent residents. $1,000 for international students. $3,000 for students attending Vantage One programs.

Based on data from Statistics Canada, the average cost of a four-year university degree starting in 2022 is $96,004 for students in residence, or $48,074 for students living at home (a nationwide average across all programs).

For the majority of programs at UBC, the deadline to accept offers of admission is May 1 (or June 1, depending on your campus), but you should check the date specified to you in your offer letter to find out when your deadline is. Once those dates pass, we'll know how many students have accepted their offers.
