Design Photo Permit For Free

You must obtain a permit for still photo shoots and filming in the parks. We must receive your application at least 10 days before the intended photo shoot.

Contact Your Local Council Productions should always notify the local Film Office of their intentions, even when filming in privately owned locations. This is so they can check your shoot does not clash with any other filming or planned works in that area.

To obtain a permit to film in the city of Minneapolis you must complete the ROWAY online permit application form. The ROWAY application covers street and sidewalk obstruction permits, police (traffic control), water hydrant permits, amplified sound and meter hooding.

All plans must be submitted electronically via ProjectDox. Sign in at the check in counter and staff will assist you through the process. Once your plans are approved, pay the necessary fees (see the ) the Minneapolis Development Review staff will provide information on required inspections.
