Diagram Title Text For Free

The title should concisely tell the reader what is in the graph. Avoid the obvious use of ?vs.? or ?versus? or the word ?plotted? in the title. Graphs that will appear as a figure in a publication or in a formal laboratory report will not have a title (the information is given in the figure caption).

Figures should be: Labeled (under the figure) with the figure number and appropriate descriptive title (?Figure? can be spelled out ?Figure 1.? or abbreviated ?Fig. 1.? as long as you are consistent). Numbered in the order they appear in the text.

Your graph isn't complete without a title that summarizes what the graph itself depicts. The title is usually placed in the center, either above or below the graph.

The chart caption is the first thing a user sees when they're reading your data visualization ? so it should be easy to understand.

Adding Chart Title in Google Sheets Right click on the graph. Select Chart & Axis Titles. Click Chart Title.

The title is a text box you can place anywhere on the chart. The plot is the area on the chart that displays the data in the chart type you choose. A data point is one piece of data appearing on the chart.

In the formula bar, type an equal sign (=). In the worksheet, select the cell that contains the data that you want to display in the title, label, or text box on the chart. Press ENTER.

All graphs, diagrams and images should be titled as Figures. These will be numbered consecutively throughout the dissertation: Figure 1, Figure 2, Figure 3, and so on. After the numbering, there should be a short and concise title. Titles for figures appear below the figure itself.

An axis title is a word or phrase that describes an entire axis. Titles generally define what kind of data is being shown on that axis. The text of axis titles always displays horizontally, even for vertical (Y) axes.

Linking a Cell Value to the Chart Title Click on the Chart Title box. Go to Formula bar and type = Select the cell that you want to show as the chart title. Hit Enter.
