Chapman University extends the privilege of operating motor vehicles on the campus to all duly registered employees, students and visitors.

It is not necessary to have a car on campus. Most first-year students do not have a car on campus. Please visit the parking website for more information.

Students who need to bring a car to campus but don't drive it on a daily basis will need to find ?storage? parking (defined as leaving your vehicle continuously parked in a lot or structure for periods greater than 24 hours).

All students, including freshmen and sophomores, are eligible to purchase Student Storage parking permits. Class level is determined by your status as stated in the University's student database. Transfer students may need confirmation of their class level from their University advisor.

It is advised that first year students give strong consideration of not bringing a vehicle to campus until they have had the sufficient time to orientate themselves to campus life and managing the responsibilities within the academic schedule.
