Manage Access to a Document Click the More Options (?) button. Select Manage Access. Now, you can see who has access to this document, and whether they have editing or view-only permissions.

Document statistics include information on when the document was created, when it was modified, when it was accessed, and when it was printed. In addition, document statistics display the name of the person it was last saved by, the revision number, and the total editing time.

If you need to see a more detailed count of words, open the Word Count dialog box. Click the Review tab on the ribbon. Click the Word Count button in the Proofing group. You can also click the word count in the status bar to open the Word Count dialog box.

Status Bar This displays the document information as well as the insertion point location. From left to right, this bar contains the total number of pages and words in the document, language, etc.

Click the File tab. Click Info. Click the View and edit database properties link at the top of the page. In the Properties dialog box, click the tabs to select the properties that you want to view or update.

Open your Word document. Select the Home tab. Choose Editor, and then go to Document stats. A dialog box will appear letting you know Word is calculating your document stats.
