A watermark is an image displayed as the background of a printed document and it is faded enough to keep the publication text readable. Draft watermarks are used to indicate that a document is under construction or has not yet been approved.

To do this, go to the Layout ribbon and choose Breaks and choose from one of the section breaks. Now, go to the section where you want to apply a watermark. Double-click the header. You'll see that you are now looking at two different sections.

Watermarks are built in the header and having different header settings can make them disappear on other pages. They are simply graphic elements that are in the header.
