Hi Karie, when viewing drafts in the Drafts folder, tap on any message in the list to open it. To continue editing and, ultimately, to send it tap on the edit icon (a pencil at the right of the Subject line).

Your phone saves the message as a draft that will be waiting in your Text Messaging inbox when you're ready to finish and send it (or delete it).

It becomes a draft until the message goes through. Most likely you don't have a good signal and its taking a while to send the message, so its being saved.

Once Draft messages are created and you want to check the list of Draft message,just go to Messaging->tap sub menu->tap on Draft Messages to see the list of Draft Messages.

With this, you can easily restore the deleted messages on Android from the backups. Run Google Drive on your phone. From the top left corner, tap the Menu button (the three lines button). In the drop-down menu, tap Backups. Check if you've backed up the disappeared messages.

Open up the message that has the draft notification on it. Tap and hold in the message bar until paste, select all, and clipboard appears. Tap on select all and then hit backspace to delete any text that is in the message bar.
