The title block is a border drawing inserted as an AutoCAD block on another drawing. The title block utility can update attributes on the title block. Start a blank new drawing.

There are three sizes of title blocks: a block used for A-, B-, C-, and G-size drawings, a slightly larger block for D-, E-, F-, H-, J-, and K-size drawings, and a vertical title block.

You can make your own title block in AutoCAD for your drawings and save it as a template or use any preexisting template available with AutoCAD or you can even download drawing templates online.

The title block of a drawing, usually located on the bottom or lower right hand corner, contains all the information necessary to identify the drawing and to verify its validity.

How To Insert A Title Block? First, locate or download a Title Block template.Open up a blank drawing and click on the ?Layout? tab on the bottom left corner.Click ?Modify? and you will be presented with a pop up window.Click on the ?Insert? tab and then on the ?Insert? button on the far left side.
