The settlement plan is the framework of all the steps that need to be taken to help and support the sponsored refugees settle in Canada . It covers the duration of the sponsorship, usually the first 12 months after the newcomers arrive in Canada.

The settlement service provider organization will assess your needs and assets. This means they'll ask you and your family questions (in person, online, or by phone). After, you'll get a personalized settlement plan. Once you and your family members receive your settlement plan, send a copy to the employer.
