Linear Fracture: the break is parallel to the bone's long axis. Oblique Fracture: the break has a curved or sloped pattern. Pathologic Fracture: caused by a disease that weakens the bones. Spiral Fracture: one part of the bone has been twisted at the break point.

Page breaks are used to end a page without filling it with text. To make sure the title page of your thesis/dissertation is separate from the signature page, for example, insert a page break after the graduation date on the title page.

To view manual page breaks, paragraph marks and other non-printing characters in Microsoft Word: Click the Home tab in the Ribbon. Click Show/Hide ¶ in the Paragraph group Paragraph marks, tabs, spacing and manual page breaks will display but will not print.

You have probably switched to Web Layout view. Change back to Print Layout View via the View tab of the ribbon or by clicking on the left most icon at the right hand end of the status bar at the bottom of the screen.

Scroll down until you see the Page Layout options (Compatibility Options in Word 2019 and Word in Office 365). It is at the very bottom of the dialog box; you may need to click the arrow at the left side of the options to see them all.
