Websites and mobile apps collect a wide variety of data using the forms. Most of these forms have required fields which means the user must fill these fields in order to submit the form successfully.

Make a field required or optional To make a field mandatory when used through Jira's user interface, click the Required link associated with that field. The text Required appears next to the field's name.To make a field optional, click the Optional link associated with that field.

Select the field that you want to require always has a value. In the Field Properties pane, on the General tab, set the Required property to Yes.

Go to transaction OBC4 and create a field status group inside a field status variant. Inside each field status group, you can set the mandatory or optional fields, or suppress some fields. Go to FS00, and for each account, set a field status group inside each account.

There are 3 ways to make custom fields required.... Click on gear icon then Setup > Object Manager. Choose the object > Page Layouts. Select the page layout that you use on the object. Click on the wrench icon beside the custom field that you will make required. Select the Required checkbox. Click on Ok, then click on Save.
