Restore iPhone from an iCloud backup Tap Set Up Manually, tap Restore from iCloud Backup, then follow the onscreen instructions. If you have another iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 11, iPadOS 13, or later, you can use Quick Start to automatically set up your new device.

If you have text message fallback enabled on your device, it will resort to sending the message as a text message, meaning the text message bubble will turn green after someone blocks you.

Send a text message Open the Voice app . Open the tab for Messages , and then tap Compose . From your list of contacts, tap the person you want to send a text message. At the bottom, enter your message, and then tap Send . Enter a contact's name or phone number.

1 Compose a Text Message On your home screen, locate and tap the Messages icon. Tap the New Message icon in the corner of the screen. Type in the telephone number of the person you would like to text, or begin typing their name.

If your iPhone messages are green, it means that they're being sent as SMS text messages rather than as iMessages, which appear in blue. iMessages only work between Apple users. You'll always see green when writing to Android users, or when you're not connected to the internet.

A green text message on your iPhone isn't a sign that your phone number was blocked, or that the text was not delivered. Instead, it means that the message was sent as a standard SMS message rather than an iMessage, which will appear as blue.

The following two messages (green bubble) are SMS with a notification indicating they were sent as ?Text Message?. This is because the blocked number has used the ?Send as Text Message? feature on their iPhone. To do that, you long press on the message bubble and tap ?Send as Text Message? from the pop-up menu.

If messages are being sent as text messages, then it is most likely that the recipient is using a non-Apple device, like an Android. If you know that they are using an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch, then they may not have iMessage enabled.

You can do this by navigating to Settings > General > Reset. Once your phone is reset, navigate to the Apps & Data screen. On this screen, select Restore from iCloud Backup. Sign in to iCloud with your Apple ID, and the phone will back up.
