By definition, a lease renewal is a new lease agreement, whereas a lease extension is a continuation of the original lease agreement. Generally speaking, the practical effect of either is that the parties to the lease continue the landlord-tenant relationship beyond the expiration of the original term of the lease.

Notice of Extension means a written notice delivered to or by the Executive which advises that the Agreement will be extended as provided in Paragraph 3.

Extensions. Extensions are amendments to a contract that add seasons to the contract's existing term.Contracts covering 1 or 2 seasons (including any option year) cannot be extended.
