If you bought the vehicle from a licensed dealer, the dealer will give you a Temporary Registration Plate that allows you to operate the vehicle for any purpose. If you purchased the vehicle from a private sale, you may obtain a Restricted Use 3-Day Permit at azmvdnow.gov.

An Arizona resident who does not have complete documentation for issuance of a title or registration may apply for a 90-day registration. This registration allows you to operate the vehicle while obtaining additional documentation. It may be purchased at any MVD or Authorized Third Party provider. The fee is $15.

Renew Utah Car Registration in Person Go to any Utah DMV office. Bring your renewal notice and take the paperwork that states you passed a safety inspection. Pay the fees.

Only one 30-Day permit is allowed per vehicle within any 12-month period. The permit is available online or may be purchased at any MVD or Authorized Third Party office. The fee is $15.

Georgia dealers issue a 45 day TOP. If the dealer has not completed the title process within 5 days of the expiration of the TOP, an extension may be requested at the Tax Commissioner's Office. Only one TOP extension may be issued. TOP and extensions are only valid for a total of 60 days from date of purchase.

Mandatory vehicle insurance requirements for the State of Arizona still apply. No more than three Restricted Use 3-Day Permits will be issued to any vehicle in a 12-month period.

In general, a 30-Day General Use Permit for a vehicle can only be obtained once per 12 months. It works in Arizona as well as any other state.

90-Day Resident Permits When complete documentation is submitted, vehicle license taxes will be calculated, for the full year, back to the date of issuance of the 90-day registration. Only two 90-Day permits may be issued consecutively within a 12-month period.

Planned Nonoperation (PNO) means that the vehicle will not be driven, towed, stored, or parked on public roads or highways for the entire registration year. DMV will accept PNO filings up to 60 days before registration expires or up to 90 days after registration expires.

The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) does not offer a grace period for paying your annual vehicle registration fees. Be sure to pay your renewal fees on or before the expiration date shown on your current registration card, or DMV will charge penalties.
