Beginning of Official Transcript. The beginning of the official transcript contains the student's name, student identification number, record type (e.g., undergraduate, graduate, or professional), current college, current major, and transfer coursework.

A current official transcript is an official transcript requested before you graduate. A final official transcript is requested after you graduate or exit Sentinel high school. ALL SENIORS GOING TO COLLEGE MUST REQUEST A FINAL OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT TO BE GIVEN TO THE COLLEGE THEY WILL BE ATTENDING.

We define a final official transcript as a transcript received directly from the issuing institution (whether on paper and still in the envelope or a certified electronic copy) that is properly signed/authenticated.

Your transcript will likely show coursework in progress if you are currently enrolled in school, or a conferred graduation date if a degree was completed. Your Grade Point Average (GPA): The transcript should list your GPA as of your last semester of enrollment.

Printed transcripts do not need to be kept in a sealed envelope. Opened transcripts are accepted so long as they follow the guidance listed here. Transcripts must be issued from a regionally-accredited college or university.

The difference between transcript and degree is that a degree certifies completion of an academic program while a transcript of degree is a proof of education that provides complete information regarding the degree including subjects studied, exams taken, grades, institution, etc.
