A wrapping div is used here that would contain all other page content. The footer is set to absolute , sticking to the bottom: 0 of the page-container it is within. This is important, as it is not absolute to the viewport, but will move down if the page-container is taller than the viewport.

Set the padding of the footer to add whitespace between the content bottom and the window bottom. Create a container div that wraps the body content with position: relative; min-height: 100%; Add bottom padding to the main content div that is equal to the height plus padding of the footer.

Task Select the Header/Footer tab. Add or change the information in the Footer Text field. This is because you don't have enough content on the page to push the footer down past the height of the screen resolution. If you add more content into a page it'll force it down and decrease the white space. Which should work across the site.

Set margin on the footer Because you set the Body ? the footer's parent element ? to Flex, you can set the top margin on the footer element to Auto. This makes the footer push away from the content above, causing the footer to stick to the bottom of the page.

The reason your footer is only halfway down the page with position: absolute is that you haven't set a min-height on the body and html elements. Without that, the body only takes up as much space as you have content for it -- and then the footer is aligned with that bottom, not the bottom of the window. Thank you!

If you want to keep the footer at the bottom of the text (sticky footer), but keep it from always staying at the bottom of the screen, you can use: position: relative; (keeps the footer in relation to the content of the page, not the view port) and clear: both; (will keep the footer from riding up on other content).
