Official transcript should be submitted by your counselor. If the counselor submits online, the transcript should be attached to your school forms. Otherwise, transcripts should be sent directly to the schools to which you are applying. Please contact each admissions office for the exact address or procedure.

To obtain an unofficial transcript, go to your MyFIT account and log in with your username and password, select: High School/Student. Online Information System. Student. Student Records & Student Accounts. Unofficial Student Transcript > SUBMIT.

In high school, this might include AP, IB, honors, and regents (for NYS students) classes. If coming from another college, we prefer to see solid academic achievement in core liberal arts classes. Are SAT/ACT scores required? SAT and ACT test scores are not required for admissions purposes.

Mailed to New York University, Office of Undergraduate Admissions, 383 Lafayette Street, New York, NY 10003, USA. All mailed transcripts and other proof of graduation documents, however, should bear an official stamp and signature and be mailed from a student's school in a sealed envelope.

NYU will accept official or unofficial transcripts and test scores for the purposes of our application review process. Students can send unofficial documents by email to admissions.docs@nyu.edu or upload them through their applicant portal, which they will gain access to after submitting the Common App.

Mailed transcripts must be in an official envelope from the school with the seal and any other security feature in tact. The transcript can be mailed by the school or the applicant and is considered official as long as the envelope has not been opened.

Minimum GPA: FIT generally consider applicants with a grade point average of 3.0 or better. Official Transcripts: Transfer students who have not yet earned their college degree must submit a high school transcript with proof of high school graduation.

Applicants for FIT's Business and Technology majors and Film and Media major do not require portfolios for admission, but do need to submit an essay that sets them apart from other candidates.
