Press Ctrl+A to select all the text in your document. Click Home > Shrink Font one or more times. As you click Shrink Font, Word decreases the size of every font in your document. Click View > Reading View to see if you shrank the text enough.

If your text is changing size as you type or when you resize a text box, you have AutoFit Text turned on....Here's how to turn it off so that the text stays the same size. Click in the text box. Click the Text Box Tools Format tab, and then click Text Fit. Click Do Not AutoFit.

The font size will slowly decrease to fit the text in the box. You can also have the shape size change to fit the text.
