Insert a watermark On the Design tab, select Watermark. Choose a pre-configured watermark, like DRAFT, CONFIDENTIAL, or DO NOT COPY. For placing a logo or image, Select Watermark > Custom Watermark > Picture watermark > Select Picture. On the same menu you can create a custom text watermark.

Put a watermark on all pages Go to Design > Watermark > Custom Watermark. Choose Picture Watermark and select a picture, or choose Text watermark and type your watermark text in the Text box. Select OK.

Resizing and Repositioning Select, hold, and drag the adjustment handles to change the size of your watermark. (The top, center handle tilts the watermark to the left and right.) Ideally, the watermark should be visible without detracting attention away from the contents of the image itself. For that reason, it's better to use a watermark that's free of any color or anything else that's too eye-catching.

Open Layout Options Select a picture. Select the Layout Options icon. To bring your picture in front of the text and set it so it stays at a certain spot on the page, select In Front of Text (under With Text Wrapping), and then select Fix position on page.

The simplest way to tone down your watermark is to keep your logo compact, and set the opacity to below 50% ? look under the Layers palette in Photoshop for the relevant slider. This allows some of the underlying image to seep through, while maintaining a clear mark.

Text watermark Double-click near the top of the page to open the header. Move the cursor over the watermark until you see the four-headed arrow, and then click the watermark to select it. Under WordArt Tools, select Format.
