Fix Bullets Notice For Free

Go to Home and select Line and Paragraph Spacing > Line Spacing Options at the bottom of the menu. The Paragraph dialog box opens. On the Indents and Spacing tab, select the options you want, and click OK. The Paragraph dialog box options are described in Adjust indents and spacing.

Click the File tab and then click Options. Click Advanced. Under Compatibility options for, expand Layout Options, click to select the Don't use hanging indent as tab stop for bullets and numbering check box, and then click OK.

Right-click, and then click Adjust List Indents. Change the distance of the bullet indent from the margin by clicking the arrows in the Bullet position box, or change the distance between the bullet and the text by clicking the arrows in the Text indent box.

Select the text that you want to return to its default formatting. In Word: On the Edit menu, click Clear and then select Clear Formatting.

The problem with wrong bullet formatting The formatting for the bullet itself is stored in the last character of the paragraph ? the paragraph mark itself. It is usually invisible but it is still selectable. So all that you have to do is to select it and then press CTRL Spacebar ? which resets the formatting.

Change the bullet alignment Select the text or bulleted list you want to change. On the Home tab, in the Paragraph group, click the arrow next to Bulleted List. , and then click Define New Bullet. Under alignment, choose Left, Centered, or Right. Click OK.

All you need to do is make sure that the paragraph marker of all items in your list are selected when you apply the bullet or numbering formatting or a style that applies such formatting. Word will then make sure that bullets and numbers are formatted the same for each item in the list.
