Fix Header Form For Free

One way is to use the fixed position property. This can be applied to any element on a page, and will keep that element in the same position even when the page is scrolled. You can also use the absolute position property to keep an element in a fixed position.

Install and activate the plugin. Go to Settings > Sticky Menu (or Anything)....Under Basic settings, add the navigation bar you want to be your sticky menu. Change any desired settings, like the space between the top of the page and the sticky element. Click Save Settings. Refresh your website to see your sticky menu.

To freeze the row/column we can use a simple HTML table and CSS. HTML: In HTML we can define the header row by <th> tag or we can use <td> tag also. Below example is using the <th> tag. We also put the table in DIV element to see the horizontal and vertical scrollbar by setting the overflow property of the DIV element.

If your header row locates on the top of the worksheet, please click View > Freeze Panes > Freeze Top Rows directly. See screenshot. Now the header row is frozen. And it will follow the worksheet up and down while scrolling the worksheet.

You need to switch to ?Custom Layout? and select Fix/Don't fix for ?Fix this row when scroll? option (depending on what you need).

To fix the position of the header in the webpage, use position: fixed, and to fix it at top use to top:0. The fixed-top can overlay other elements.

When done appropriately, sticky headers allow users to quickly access the navigation, search, and utility-navigation elements without scrolling up to the top of the page. They increase the discoverability of the elements in the header and the chance that users will take advantage of them.
