Fix Link Title For Free

The screenshot shows how the title bar, page title and Web address (URL) are related. The browser's title bar displays the text in the title tag at the top of the browser window. The Web address (URL) uses keywords which are also used in the title bar and page title.

It's simply the headline on the SERP (search engine results page). For example, if you Google ?kitchen appliances,? you'll see that one of the top results is from IKEA. In this case, the page title tag is ?Kitchen Appliances ? IKEA.? This is what both people and search engines will see as the title of your page.

Again, on Windows, you can select Ctrl + F and then type ?title? to quickly find the Title. That's all there is to it. Now you can easily find the webpage Title for any page on your website.

Add a hyperlink to existing text Select the text that you want to turn into a hyperlink, and right-click it. On the shortcut menu, click Hyperlink. In the Insert Hyperlink dialog, paste the link in the Address box and click OK.

You should use a link title when you are providing more information about the link. Don't use a link title to provide the information over again, as this is a usability fail that will only result in annoying your users. Have you ever run into an incident where the exact link title showed up when you hovered over it?

For usability reasons, you should not hyperlink headings or subheadings.

Customize the text for a hyperlink Right-click anywhere on the link and, on the shortcut menu, click Edit Hyperlink. In the Edit Hyperlink dialog, select the text in the Text to display box. Type the text you want to use for the link, and then click OK.
