Inner line Permits are issued by the Secretary (Political), Government of Arunachal Pradesh, respective Deputy Commissioner and Additional Deputy Commissioner of the Districts. These can also be obtained from Resident Commissioner's office / Deputy Resident Commissioner & Liaison Offices.

Inner Line Permit (ILP) is an official travel document issued by the Government of India to allow inward travel of an Indian citizen into a protected area for a limited period. It is obligatory for Indian citizens from outside those states to obtain a permit for entering into the protected state.

The Inner Line Permit (ILP) is significantly easier to get. However, NRIs (Indian who are staying abroad for more than 6 months), PIO Card holders, and OCI holders are not eligible for Inner Line Permit. They will have to apply for a regular protected/ Restricted Area Permit.

Depending on the category of the ILP one has applied, and the number of applicants at any point of time, it may take hours or 2 to 3 working days to issue the ILP by the competent authority. As regards the online ILP for Tourist, if applied during working hours it may get approved within 4 (four) hours.

Issuance of eILP for approval and Verification will take minutes of 1(One) hours and maximum of 5 Office Working Day by the respective Processing Office.

ILP or the Permit to enter Nagaland The ILP fee is INR 50 for 15 days and INR 500 for 365 days. You can obtain the ILP by logging in to the Government of Nagaland's official website.
