All visitors must be 18 years or older. Visitors under 18 are required to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian during the tablet visit. All visits are recorded and monitored by security staff.

Previous charges may or not preclude you from visiting, but omitting them on your application will be an automatic denial. It is important you are completely honest regarding your arrest history. The review and approval process could take 4-6 weeks.

We will send status updates to the email address you provide in your application. If your application is approved, you will then be required to schedule a visit using our online scheduling system.

Complete the VADOC visitation application and receive approval. Submit a separate video visitation application to AFOI. Once your paperwork has been processed, AFOI will contact you to complete registration. Schedule your visit through the AFOI website or by calling AFOI at (804) 643-2401.

Those persons the prisoner has placed on his/her visiting list must complete a Visiting Application (CAJ-103) to request approval to visit. The Visiting Application must be submitted in advance to the facility Mailroom or Information Desk where the prisoner is currently housed to allow for review of the Application.

Dress Code Attire must cover from the neck to the kneecaps, include appropriate underwear, and footwear must be worn at all times.

Day of Facility Release If you are an inmate leaving on discharge or parole, you will be released by p.m. on the date of release, weather permitting. At the time of your release, you will read, or a facility staff member will read to you, one of the following, as applicable: Order of Release.

If TDCJ Correctional Officers are running low, you will be hired within a week or two of applying. One month or longer. Background check, urine drug screening are required but training is paid. Took me about 2 months the first time, then you go to training.
