An Academic record (or transcript) details all subjects studied and results, per academic year and or semester. If you have graduated, the academic record will also include the date your qualification was conferred.

So, even though you may not be able to expunge old grades, you would have a pathway to start fresh at a school where your old grades won't be part of the transcript. There is basically a "statute of limitations" for "old" grades. In most colleges, it's something like 10-12 years.

Your college should have a formal process where you either fill out a form, or submit a written request complete with the name of the course and the reason for your request.
