For people who are blind or have low vision and use assistive technology (such as screen readers and connected Braille displays) to access information, an untagged PDF means they are missing out on information contained in the document because assistive technology cannot ?read? untagged PDFs.

The navigation pane ?Tags? must be opened. Select the affected text passage with the selection tool. Open the options in the navigation pane ?Tags? and select ?Find Tag from Selection?.

The tag structure is similar to a simple text input. All input elements and their associated text labels should be placed inside a <Form> tag, and their structure should match the visual appearance in the PDF.

The easiest way to put PDF in an HTML document is using the <a> tag with its href attribute. You need to add the URL or the reference link of your PDF file to the element.

Document Tagging is the general process of adding extra information to documents. It includes static additions to the documents (for example, adding information from Eduction into the document) or more dynamic information (for example, marking a document for further analysis or workflow).

How to test: Go to File Properties (Ctrl+D in Windows, Command+D in Mac). In the bottom left corner of the Document Properties dialog, see the ?Tagged PDF? field.
