Introduction to the Financial Times Stock Exchange Group (FTSE) The Financial Times Stock Exchange (FTSE), presently known as FTSE Russell Group, is a British financial organization specializing in producing index offerings for the global financial markets.

7.0 Rebalance Effective Date The FTSE UK Index Series is reviewed on a quarterly basis in March, June, September and December. Any constituent changes will be implemented after the close of business on the third Friday of the review month (i.e. effective Monday).

Which Indexes Need Rebalancing? Any stock market index can require rebalancing if its composition deviates significantly from its intended market representation. Some of the most commonly rebalanced indexes include the S&P 500, the Russell 2000, the FTSE 100, the MSCI World Index, and the Nifty 50.

FTSE Russell, the global index provider, confirms today that IMI will be joining the FTSE 100 Index as a result of the June 2023 annual review. In the rebalance, British Land Co will leave the FTSE 100 Index and enter the FTSE 250 Index.
