A colocation facility, or colo, is a data center facility in which a business can rent space for servers and other computing hardware. Typically, a colo provides the building, cooling, power, bandwidth and physical security, while the customer provides servers and storage.

Colocation data center space is sold on the basis of individual cabinets or cages, typically on short-term, 1 to 3 year license agreements, as opposed to long-term leases. Customers pay colocation service fees, on a monthly basis, for their cabinet or cage space in these colocation facilities.

Co-location means a wireless communications facility owned and operated by a communication service provider which is located on the same tower, building, accessory structure, or property as another communications facility owned or operated by a different communication service provider.
