First, you need to edit the post or page where you want to add the custom field and go to the custom fields meta box. Next, you need to provide a name for your custom field and then enter its value. Click on the Add Custom Field button to save it.

To retrieve a field value as a variable, use the get_field() function. This is the most versatile function which will always return a value for any type of field. To display a field, use the the_field() in a similar fashion.

ACF stores data for custom field related to posts in the post_meta table, just like standard wp custom fields. It stores custom fields for everything else in the options table. Every field has two database rows associated with it.

Simply create or edit an existing post / page, and then click on the 'Screen Options' button at the top right corner of the screen. This will show you a menu with several options that you can show or hide on your post edit screen. Go ahead and click on the checkbox next to 'Custom Fields' option.

To make the fields show in the template you have to use the following: the_field('field-name'); You can also insert the code in the archive template or query post your are using to show posts. Check "display on front" within post or page editing.

Advanced Custom Fields plugin is installed like any other plugin. Go to Plugins > Add New and search for Advanced Custom Fields, then press enter. The plugin should show up on first place and you can get it onto your site via Install Now. When the installation is done, don't forget to activate.

Move to the Product table (pro version have to be active) and create or edit the table. Add the product with this custom field to the table. Use the searching or sorting for better navigation. Then, add the column with a custom field.

To activate your license, log in to your WordPress admin and navigate to the Custom Fields > Updates page. If this page is not available, please check that you have activated the ACF PRO plugin (and deactivated the free one) or contact support for help.
