The \maketitle command generates a title on a separate title page - except in the article style, where the title normally goes at the top of the first page. Information used to produce the title is obtained from the following declarations, which should precede the \maketitle command.

You can reduce the space between the (sub)title and the first paragraph by adding \vspace{} command from LaTeX right before the first paragraph.

The \footnote command \footnote[number]{text for footnote} : This form of the command uses the optional value number to create the superscript footnote marker; it also inserts the corresponding footnote at the bottom of the page, containing the identifying footnote marker ( number ) and text for footnote .

LATEX distinguishes between three types of lists: bul- leted list, ordered list, and descriptive list. The bulleted list, where the order of elements is not im- portant, is called itemize. On the other hand, or- dered lists are termed enumerate, as their elements are numbered.

You can define a title for your document using \title{} and then create the title itself using \maketitle . You can also add other information such as the author(s) and the date, e.g. Note the use of \today to automatically insert the date you created the document. Of course you can just write a date if you prefer!

The \title{..} command is used to specify a title for your document, where the title is entered in the curly brackets. The \author{..} and \date{..} commands are used to display information regarding the document author's name and the date of the document.

Itemize: This is an environment used for bulleted list basically when the given details or information or to be put in an unordered list. Enumerate: This is an environment used for numbered list. This list is given when the information to be updated should be in a sequence or in a specified order.
