My sticky notes closed unexpectedly Open the Sticky Notes app and view your list of notes. If only a single note is displayed when you open the app, click or tap the ellipsis icon ( ? ) in the upper-right of the note and then click or tap Notes list. Scroll or search for your note in the notes list.

To remove highlight or sticky notes from PDF: Click the highlighted part or the sticky note. Right click your mouse for options. Choose Delete Annotation from the options.

Under default settings, Sticky Notes will close when you shutdown your computer. Although you can program to ensure that Sticky Notes stay when you shut down.

Once you write down new notes, Sticky Notes will automatically save them for you even if you forget to save the changes. However, if there are some problems with your computer that lead the notes to be lost, cannot be opened, or cannot be used at all, you can backup and restore them.

Sometimes your notes won't appear because you are either currently signed out of Sticky Notes, your using a new computer that isn't signed in to Sticky Notes, or you have signed into a different account than the one you have previously synced notes with.

From an open note, click or tap the ellipsis icon ( ... ) and then click or tap Delete note. Clicking or tapping the close icon ( X ) only closes the note and does not delete it.

To close Sticky Notes app without losing all my notes, simply press Alt + F4. It's the keyboard shortcut known for closing any active application. Note that there is still no way you can close single sticky note without deleting it. And to minimize the Sticky Notes app, just click its icon on the taskbar once.
