Once you have clearly understood the axes you have to make the Y axis the dependant variable and X the independent one. Then the name of the graph becomes , Dependant variable vs Independent variable. Essentially, you want to summarise the X and Y variables and what your sample is in the title.

In the worksheet, click the cell that contains the title or data label text that you want to change. Edit the existing contents, or type the new text or value, and then press ENTER. The changes you made automatically appear on the chart.

For most graphs, give a brief description including the title and axis labels and mention trends not already described in the text. For simple charts, state the actual data points. For more complex charts, an ideal description would include the data in a table or list.

The title should be a concise description of what is being graphed (e. g., ?Pressure as a Function of Temperature for Nitrogen?). Usually you do not need to describe in the title the units used in the graph, but there are some instances where this is necessary.
