List the image reference within your references list at the end of your work, using the format: Creator, Year. Title [Online]. Place of publication: Publisher (if known).

Insert a picture in Word, PowerPoint, or Excel Click the location in your document where you want to insert a picture. On the Insert tab, click Pictures. Select the option you want to use for inserting pictures.

Images Break Up Text into Smaller, Digestible Chunks Especially with long form articles, large chunks of texts and long paragraphs can deter a reader from finishing your article. Adding images to your blogs can break up those long pieces of text to make your content easily digestible.

Add Image: Click Image icon to upload an image from your computer or drag an image into the box (cover image). Add Links : Click Links to paste the rich media content's URL (For example, Tweets or Instagram images) into the Link field. Add Snippet: Click Code to add highlighted snippet into the article.

Including images in books and articles can complement the text, visually demonstrate the author's analysis, and engage the reader. Using images in publications, however, raises copyright issues, which can be complex, time-consuming, and expensive.

It depends on a lot of things, including your content, what you prefer, what the image is of, etc. Try it both ways on your specific project and see which one works for you. As long as it's close enough to the image to be associated with it in the users' mind, then you'll be in the clear.

There are two ways to organize your images: either place them in your text next to the paragraph where you discuss them (Figure 1), or put them all together at the end of the essay (Figure 2). Images always need captions. Captions should do two things; label the image and tell us the image's source.
