To obtain your ROE, you must contact Service Canada directly. You can access your ROE electronically by signing in or registering for a My Service Canada Account. If you need to request a paper copy of an already issued ROE, follow the Service Canada instructions.

You can ask your employer for a paper copy of your ROE. Once you get the ROE, you must give it to Service Canada as soon as possible. If your employer sends your ROE directly to Service Canada, you will not need to ask for a paper copy. You will need a My Service Canada Account to view your ROE electronically.

You can use record of employment on the Web (ROE Web) to produce your ROEs online, rather than completing paper forms. ROE Web is a secure application that enables you to create and submit up to 1,200 ROEs at once. This saves time, reduces your paper burden and improves the quality and accuracy of your ROEs.

Select Payroll Tax, and then select Employer Forms. 5 In the Employer Forms window, select the appropriate employee from the drop-down list. Select ROE to generate the form. 6 In the Record of Employment window, click View to review or print the form.

Employers must ensure they issue the ROE within five days after the employee's last day of work. If the employer delays in issuing the ROE, they may be liable for nominal damages and/or fines.

Using ROE Web, you can create, submit, print, and amend ROEs using the Internet. ROE Web gives you the flexibility to issue ROEs ing to your pay cycle. For more information on ROE Web, visit the Service Canada website or call the Employer Contact Centre.

If you would like to obtain a copy of your ROE, you should visit the My Service Canada Account page online.
